77th International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad proclaimed STUDEN Group to be the best agricultural product processing company of 2009

Brčko, 21st of May, 2010. – Last night, at the ceremony of the 77th International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, named “Eve of Champions” (Veče Šampiona), STUDEN GROUP has been proclaimed to be the best agricultural product processing company of 2009.

This business group operates in Bosnia and Herzegovina since late 1994. Following companies are member of the group: BIMAL d.d., the only factory for edible oil in BiH, STUDEN-AGRANA Rafinerija šećera d.o.o., AGRAGOLD d.o.o., representation and distribution of food products from the factories of the group for the BH market, ŽITOPROMET d.d., as well as SCO Arex and SCO Logistika. At this moment, the Group employs around 600 people, and thanks to their dedication and efforts over the years, and especially during 2009, food products that are made in the manufacturing plants meet the highest world quality standards, which allowed AGRAGOLD crystal white sugar, BIMAL edible refined sunflower oil and AGRAGOLD flour to be awarded with the champion award for quality at the 77th international agricultural fair.

At the Brčko District location, STUDEN Group builds an agri-industrial complex, which will, three production facilities aside, supply the region with the basic premium quality dietary products in the future, and investments in the BiH agriculture remain the basic commitment of this business group, with the emphasis on the development of agricultural production.
 
The expected traffic of STUDEN Group in 2010 exceeds 200 million euro, which will be realized through the group’s basic activities: production of dietary products, trading of the basic dietary products, distribution and representation.

Nataša Pucar has said during the award ceremony: “Premium brands of our business group such as BIMAL Sunflower oil and AGRAGOLD sugar and oil are already familiar to our loyal consumers on the domestic and regional market, and now our portfolio has been competed with the top quality flour, for which we have received an official confirmation from the Flour quality expert commission at this year’s fair in Novi Sad. The recommendations by ministries and professors, with Ph.D.’s in economy and technology, also members of the Fair’s commission, which was followed by a nomination, is for us a recognition that we’re managing to stay vital in these troubling times, but in a right way, meaning without compromising the quality of the products that find their way to satisfied customers. STUDEN Group is meritorious for the choosing of the Brčko District location for the construction of this agri-industrial complex. At this moment the traffic of goods in means of raw materials input and food products output is at a staggering 300 000 tons per year, which speaks enough on the importance of existence of such an economic subject in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This applies for both the business industry, as well as agricultural oil plant manufacturers, which have had, in this business group, a guaranteed redemption and a secure business partner for six consecutive years.
