Golden Medal and Grand Golden Medal at the 77th International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad for AGRAGOLD Sugar

Brčko, 12.05.2010.– Almost two years since the opening of STUDEN-AGRANA Sugar Refinery Ltd. this production plant already has champions of quality in two categories at 77th International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad – AGRAGOLD white crystal sugar 1kg packaging received a Golden Medal and AGRAGOLD white crystal sugar 5kg packaging received a Grand Golden Medal.

STUDEN-AGRANA Sugar Refinery, a foreign investment by AGRANA Group and its long–standing partner in the West Balkan region, STUDEN & Co Holding from Vienna, produces sugar by refining raw sugar and as such it supplies primarily BiH’s market with this product and at very competitive prices.  Apart from BiH, STUDEN AGRANA delivers this high quality product to the West Balkan market and its consumers.

The jury at the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, recognised the winning combination of the latest technology production process and dedication of STUDEN-AGRANA Sugar Refinery employees to the highest quality of white crystal sugar that is offered to consumers.

Emira Omeragić, Quality Manager at STUDEN-AGRANA Sugar Refinery stated the following while receiving this great recognition the for product’s quality: “It is a great pleasure to receive recognition for quality of our products from such high profile food experts at this international fair. We promised two years ago that we will prove the quality of STUDEN and AGRANA’s cooperation through quality of our product – white crystal sugar and today we have fulfilled this promise.”

The only producer of sugar in BiH is even more pleased about the fact that this is a product Made in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the location that was chosen as the best place for this raw sugar refinery.  It is becoming apparent that STUDEN-AGRANA Sugar Refinery has made a big impact on the strategic development of the country’s food industry and the economy in general but it has also become a strategic supplier of this important high quality product for the region of West Balkans. 

The production capacity of the refinery is 150,000 tonnes of white sugar made from imported raw sugar.
