The appropriation from the European association and managers for the award of best manager

Brčko, 09.07.2007- Ilija Studen, President of the SCO Group and CEO of edible oil producing company Bimal d.d. from Brčko, has been awarded for the best manager of Southeast and Middle Europe in the category „The Best European Manager".

Nominations for best managers of Southeast and Middle Europe have been selected by former winners and economic associations. This year there have been 2000 nominations from 12 countries from Germany and Austria up to Litvania. The best managers have been selected by a commitee that consists of professors and acknowledged persons of the economy. On head of the committee is prof.dr.Mustafa Omanović, UN-expert and member of the world's economic and ecologic community.

This award has been devolved to Ilija Studen because in his current work. He has invested in several companies which have become important factors for the economy of this country. Since 2004, as CEO, he succesfully leads one of the investments of the SCO group, Bimal d.d. from Brčko.

In the year 2006 Studen has brought one of the largest investments into the food industry of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the sugar industry with its strategic investor Agrana Group,a multinational with its production on all continents. This is the first investment of such a company in the food industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The sugar refinery will become leader with its highest production capacity in Southeast Europe and this fact will provide to BiH a economic way to Europe.

Apropos of His award, Ilija Studen has said: „It is a great pleasure to receive this award on behalf of all employees of Studen & CO Holding, because awards like this can only be received with mutual efforts. From our bussines results and achievements it is obvious that we operate in great numbers of countries, but it is also obvious that our production and development plans are mostly directed to BiH. Since this award is accepted on European level, this means that we help processes in BiH which lead to integration of this country to European and World markets".
